Private Scuba Refresher

Booking ahead is easy.

• More than seven days before your activity: pay a 20% deposit online to reserve your place. Pay the remaining balance online no later than seven days before your activity, or in cash at the Thailand Divers Dive Resort no later than the day before.
• Within seven days of your activity: full online payment is required when we confirm availability.

You are also welcome to pay the full booking price online at any time.

This experience is for already-certified divers who want to rebuild confidence, review equipment setup and refresh essential skills before enjoying three guided reef dives. Please tell us your certification level, logged-dive experience and the date of your last dive when you enquire.

If you are not yet certified, choose Discover Scuba Diving or the PADI Open Water Diver course instead.

Yes. Please review the PADI Diver Medical form before booking and complete the required questionnaire before diving. Depending on your answers, you may need written approval from a physician before you can take part.

Your ฿6,000 per person day includes three guided coral-reef dives around the Racha Islands, a private scuba instructor for your booking, a full set of scuba equipment, breakfast, lunch, refreshments and return hotel transfers from the included areas.

Scuba-diving insurance is not included, so you must arrange suitable cover before the trip.

Yes. A private scuba instructor for your booking is included, even when you book on your own. Your instructor helps with equipment setup, reviews the skills you need and supports you throughout all three dives.

You travel on a shared day-trip boat. Tell us who is joining your booking so we can confirm the instructor arrangement.

Your day begins with hotel pickup, breakfast and an equipment and safety briefing on the boat from Chalong Pier.

• Morning: sail to Racha Noi, complete your refresher review and enjoy your first guided reef dive.
• Lunchtime: relax over a Thai buffet lunch onboard.
• Afternoon: complete your second dive around Racha Noi and your third around Racha Yai before returning to Phuket.

The precise dive sites and timings follow the conditions and your needs on the day.

Return hotel transfers are included from Kamala, Nakalay, Kalim, Tri Trang / Merlin Beach, Patong, Karon, Kata, Nai Harn, Rawai and Chalong. The boat departs from Chalong Pier.

Most pickups are between 07:00 and 07:30. Your exact time depends on your hotel and is confirmed when you book. If you are staying outside the included area, separate transport is needed. See our hotel-transfer information or send us your hotel details.

The boat normally reaches Chalong Pier between 17:00 and 17:30, with arrival in Patong usually between 18:00 and 18:30. Your hotel-return time depends on its location.

These are guide times and may change because of weather, currents, traffic and the day’s running order.

Yes. Certified divers need their own suitable scuba-diving insurance for this trip. Your existing travel or dive insurance is fine if it covers your planned dives in Thailand, including the activity, maximum depth, dive date, dive-accident medical treatment, emergency evacuation and recompression-chamber treatment.

Bring your certification card or digital certification, confirmation of your scuba-diving insurance, swimwear, a towel, sun protection and a dry change of clothes. A small bag is useful for personal items.

We provide the scuba equipment, meals and refreshments listed above. Please also bring any physician’s approval required by your medical questionnaire.

Please tell us about any dietary requirements in advance and we will make every effort to arrange suitable food. If we cannot accommodate a particular request, we will let you know. You may also bring your own food, and we can help you store it onboard.

No. This is a practical confidence and skills refresher for an already-certified diver; it does not award a new diving certification.

If you specifically need an official agency refresher record or updated recognition, tell us before booking so we can confirm the appropriate option and any additional requirements.

Once your instructor is satisfied that you are comfortable and ready, you can continue with suitable certified-diver trips based on your certification, experience and conditions.

If you would like to progress your training, the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is the usual next step for an Open Water diver.

You can join our local diving courses and day trips wherever you’re staying on Phuket. If you’re still choosing your hotel, Patong—including nearby Tri Trang and Merlin Beach—and the southern areas of Karon, Kata, Nai Harn, Rawai and Chalong are convenient bases for diving from Chalong Pier.

Yes. For ฿500, we can fit a brand-new soft silicone comfort mouthpiece to your rental regulator before you dive. It will be exclusively yours to use, and you can take it home afterwards. Please request it when booking so we can have it ready for you.

If your plans change, please tell us as soon as possible. We will always try to move your booking to another suitable date where practical, although changes depend on availability and cannot be guaranteed. If you cancel, the 20% booking deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel more than seven days before the activity starts, we will refund anything you paid above the deposit. If you cancel seven days or fewer before the activity starts, no refund is due.

No refund is due for a no-show, a late arrival that prevents participation, or a decision to stop after the activity or course has started.

If Thailand Divers cancels because of unsafe weather or an operational reason, we will first offer you a suitable alternative date. If the new date does not work for you, we will give you a full refund of everything you paid, including your deposit.
