After some skill practise with your instructor, you’ll make five open water dives over the two days. The advanced open water diving licence lets you explore more of the underwater world with a depth limit of 30 meters / 100 feet.

There’s no exam because this course is truly about having fun and gaining experience.

On the first day, we come and collect you from your hotel lobby at 7.30 am. Your scuba diving instructor will meet you on the day trip diving boat and make your way to Koh Racha Yai island for the first two dives of your PADI advanced open water course. We will cover the Peak Performance Buoyancy speciality dive first and on the second we will cover the underwater navigation section. Koh Racha Yai island is the perfect location for your first two advanced open water dives, as shallow coral reefs surround this island.

On the second day, again we will collect you from your hotel lobby at 7.30 am and we are off to King Cruiser wreck where we will conduct the wreck diving section. Next, it is off to shark point for the deep dive section with Koh Doc Mai being the final diving location where you will do the Fish Identification section.

If you are booking two or more people in your group, we will assign a Private scuba diving instructor just for your group over the three days at no extra cost. This is a fantastic way to learn to dive, and we find that people enjoy smaller groups when learning to scuba dive.

If you are a solo traveller and would like a personal instructor for the course, this is an additional 5,000 Thailand Baht. Otherwise, we will join you in a group of other solo travellers to a maximum group size of four students to one instructor.

Scuba diving requires a minimum level of health and fitness. Anyone, regardless of age, with shortness of breath, blurred vision, or any form of chest pain may need to reconsider diving. Avoid disappointment, download and review the Diver Medical form to ensure you won’t need a physician’s approval to dive before enrolling in a scuba course.

We expect no issues but in the unlikely event of injury, it only makes sense to be prepared. Check your current travel insurance covers you for scuba diving activities. Be sure to contact them directly to make sure. If they do not then we recommend DAN Scuba Diving Insurance.

While we may not be able to accommodate every requirement please let us know in advance and we’ll make every effort to ensure there is food available for you. In addition, we can help you store your own food on the trip if necessary.

Absolutely! While some places use amateurs or fresh out of school dive guides, we use local experienced experts. Our concern for your safety is paramount and we take pride in our staff’s experience and professionalism.

I am afraid that we are unable to incorporate a night dive with the day trip boat schedule. But we can do a night dive as a separate trip. Please click here for more information: PADI Advanced Open water

The next course is the PADI rescue diver and the EFR course. Click here for more information: Rescue Diver Course
