PADI Deep Diver Course

Choose your preferred two course dates, or message us on WhatsApp. Please tell us your current certification, age and recent deep-diving experience so we can confirm eligibility and availability.

To reserve your course, pay a fixed ฿5,000 online deposit per student. Once your deposit has been received, we will arrange access to the named student’s PADI eLearning/course materials.

You can then choose how to pay the remaining balance:

• Online: no later than seven days before your course starts.
• Cash at the Thailand Divers Dive Resort: no later than the day before your course starts.

You are also welcome to pay the full course price online when you book.

Booking within seven days? No problem, subject to availability. If you choose to pay online, the remaining balance is due as soon as we confirm your booking. Cash payment is still due at the dive centre no later than the day before.

You need a PADI Adventure Diver or Advanced Open Water Diver certification, or a qualifying equivalent, and you must be at least 15 years old.

Please send us your certification details and recent diving experience when you enquire so your instructor can confirm eligibility.

Yes. Please review the PADI Diver Medical form before booking and complete the required questionnaire before diving. Depending on your answers, you may need written approval from a physician before your course starts.

Your ฿14,000 per person course includes PADI Deep Diver eLearning and certification fees, two boat days with six dives in total and four deep-training dives completed across the course, a private PADI instructor, full scuba-equipment rental, dive-computer use, required training equipment, breakfast, lunch and refreshments on both days, and return hotel transfers from the included areas.

Scuba-diving insurance is not included.

Yes. A private PADI instructor for your booking is included. Your instructor plans and supervises the deep-training dives, including gas management, buoyancy, buddy contact, safety considerations and recognising and managing narcosis.

You travel on shared day-trip boats.

Day one normally includes three dives around Racha Noi and Racha Yai. Day two normally visits King Cruiser, Shark Point and Koh Doc Mai for three further dives.

Four qualifying deep-training dives are completed across the two days. The exact sequence, sites and maximum depth for each dive depend on conditions, your experience and the training plan.

Return hotel transfers on both days are included from Kamala, Nakalay, Kalim, Tri Trang / Merlin Beach, Patong, Karon, Kata, Nai Harn, Rawai and Chalong. The boats depart from Chalong Pier.

Most pickups are between 07:00 and 07:30. Your exact time depends on your hotel and is confirmed when you book. If you are outside the included area, separate transport is needed.

The boat normally reaches Chalong Pier between 17:00 and 17:30, with arrival in Patong usually between 18:00 and 18:30. Your hotel-return time depends on its location.

These are guide times and may change because of conditions, traffic and the day’s running order.

Yes. You need your own suitable scuba-diving insurance covering training dives to a maximum of 40 metres / 130 feet, as well as dive-accident medical treatment, emergency evacuation and recompression-chamber treatment for both course dates.

No. Advanced Open Water develops a range of diving skills and normally qualifies adult divers to a maximum of 30 metres. The Deep Diver Specialty focuses specifically on planning and safely managing deeper recreational dives, with training to a maximum of 40 metres.

No. Forty metres is the maximum training limit, not a target for every dive. Depths progress according to the course standards, site conditions, your experience and your instructor’s judgement.

Every dive remains within recreational no-decompression limits.

An eligible, documented Deep Adventure Dive from your Advanced Open Water course may count as the first dive of the Deep Diver Specialty, subject to your instructor checking the training record and confirming that it meets the current course requirements.

The Thailand Divers package is planned over two boat days; we will confirm your exact training plan before booking.

No. PADI Deep Diver is a recreational, no-decompression specialty. It does not qualify you for planned decompression diving, technical diving or wreck penetration.

Your certification allows recreational dives to a maximum of 40 metres within your training, experience, conditions and insurance cover.

You can join our local diving courses and day trips wherever you’re staying on Phuket. If you’re still choosing your hotel, Patong—including nearby Tri Trang and Merlin Beach—and the southern areas of Karon, Kata, Nai Harn, Rawai and Chalong are convenient bases for diving from Chalong Pier.

Yes. For ฿500, we can fit a brand-new soft silicone comfort mouthpiece to your rental regulator before you dive. It will be exclusively yours to use, and you can take it home afterwards. Please request it when booking so we can have it ready for you.

If your plans change, please tell us as soon as possible. We will always try to move your course to another suitable date where practical, although changes depend on availability and cannot be guaranteed. If you cancel, the ฿5,000 course deposit is non-refundable and you keep any personal PADI eLearning/course materials already issued to you. If you cancel more than seven days before the course starts, we will refund anything you paid above the deposit. If you cancel seven days or fewer before the course starts, no refund is due.

No refund is due for a no-show, a late arrival that prevents participation, or a decision to stop after the activity or course has started.

If Thailand Divers cancels because of unsafe weather or an operational reason, we will first offer you a suitable alternative date. If the new date does not work for you, we will give you a full refund of everything you paid, including your deposit.
