Booking ahead is easy.

• More than seven days before your activity: pay a 20% deposit online to reserve your place. Pay the remaining balance online no later than seven days before your activity, or in cash at the Thailand Divers Dive Resort no later than the day before.
• Within seven days of your activity: full online payment is required when we confirm availability.

You are also welcome to pay the full booking price online at any time.

No previous scuba experience or diving certification is needed. Day one is a small-class pool session where your instructor explains the equipment and helps you practise the basic skills at your own pace. When you are comfortable and ready, day two includes three supervised coral-reef dives around the Racha Islands.

You must be at least 10 years old. You do not need to be a strong or confident swimmer: Explore Scuba begins in a shallow pool and is designed to build your confidence before the boat-diving day.

Please tell us before booking if you cannot swim or feel uneasy in the water. Your instructor will assess your comfort and readiness before you continue to the reef dives.

Yes. Please review the PADI Diver Medical form before booking and complete the required questionnaire before diving. Depending on your answers, you may need written approval from a physician before you can take part.

Your ฿12,000 per person programme includes your day-one pool session, three guided coral-reef dives on day two, instructor support throughout both days, a full set of scuba equipment, PADI online learning, breakfast, lunch and refreshments on the boat, and return hotel transfers from the included areas.

Scuba diving insurance is also included for both days.

Explore Scuba is taught in a small class, with instructor support throughout the pool session and all three coral-reef dives. Tell us who is joining your group when you enquire so we can confirm the class and instructor arrangement for your dates.

Day one is your pool-training session. Your instructor introduces the equipment and helps you practise breathing, buoyancy and the essential safety skills until you feel comfortable.

Day two begins with hotel pickup, breakfast and a briefing on the boat from Chalong Pier. You will normally complete two guided dives around Racha Noi and a third around Racha Yai, with lunch onboard between dives. The precise sites and timings follow the conditions on the day.

Return hotel transfers are included from Kamala, Nakalay, Kalim, Tri Trang / Merlin Beach, Patong, Karon, Kata, Nai Harn, Rawai and Chalong.

For day one, choose a morning or afternoon pool session; pickup is normally around 10:00 or 13:00. For day two, most pickups are between 07:00 and 07:30. Your exact time depends on your hotel and is confirmed when you book. If you are staying outside the included area, separate transport is needed. See our hotel-transfer information or send us your hotel details when you enquire.

Your day-one return time depends on how long you need in the pool and whether you choose the morning or afternoon session.

On day two, the boat normally reaches Chalong Pier between 17:00 and 17:30, with arrival in Patong usually between 18:00 and 18:30. These are guide times and may change because of weather, currents, traffic and the day’s running order.

Yes. Scuba diving insurance is included in your programme price and covers the scuba activities on both days, subject to the policy terms and eligibility requirements. If you would like more information, please contact us.

Bring swimwear, a towel, sun protection and a dry change of clothes. A small bag is useful for keeping your personal items together. We provide your scuba equipment and the meals and refreshments listed for the boat day.

Please complete the booking paperwork in advance and bring any physician’s approval required by your medical questionnaire.

Please tell us about any dietary requirements for your boat-diving day in advance and we will make every effort to arrange suitable food. If we cannot accommodate a particular request, we will let you know. You are also welcome to bring your own food, and we can help you store it onboard.

Explore Scuba is a supervised two-day introduction to diving, rather than a diving certification. If you enjoy the experience and want to become a certified diver, the next step is our three-day PADI Open Water Diver course.

You can stay anywhere on Phuket, but Rawai, Nai Harn and Chalong are particularly convenient. Staying nearby makes it easier to reach Thailand Divers for your pool training on day one and Chalong Pier for your Racha Islands boat dives on day two.

Yes. For ฿500, we can fit a brand-new soft silicone comfort mouthpiece to your rental regulator before you dive. It will be exclusively yours to use, and you can take it home afterwards. Please request it when booking so we can have it ready for you.

If your plans change before your Explore Scuba programme starts, please tell us as soon as possible. We will always try to move your booking to another suitable date where practical, although changes depend on availability and cannot be guaranteed. If you cancel, the 20% booking deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel more than seven days before day one, we will refund anything you paid above the deposit. If you cancel seven days or fewer before day one, no refund is due.

The Explore Scuba Money Back Guarantee still applies: if, after your pool training on day one, you decide not to continue to the coral reef dives on day two, we will refund 50% of the booking price, no questions asked. No refund is due for a no-show or a late arrival that prevents participation.

If Thailand Divers cancels because of unsafe weather or an operational reason, we will first offer you a suitable alternative date. If the new date does not work for you, we will give you a full refund of everything you paid, including your deposit.
