Snorkelling is a popular activity in Phi Phi, but it is essential to take safety measures to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. Here are some recommendations:

  1. Learn basic swimming skills and snorkelling techniques before you go.
  2. Make sure you have a good fit for your snorkel equipment, including the mask, fins, and snorkel.
  3. Avoid snorkelling alone, and always have a buddy system.
  4. Know your limits, and don’t push yourself too hard. If you feel tired or uncomfortable, return to the shore or boat.
  5. Be aware of and avoid marine life that can be dangerous, such as jellyfish, sea urchins, and scorpion fish.
  6. Respect the underwater environment and don’t touch or disturb marine life or coral.
  7. Wear a rash guard or protective clothing to reduce the risk of sunburn and skin irritation.
  8. Use sunscreen to protect your skin from sun exposure.

However, it’s essential to remember that the weather in Phi Phi can be unpredictable, and conditions can change quickly. It’s a good idea to check the forecast before you go and be prepared for various weather conditions.

In general, you can expect sunny and warm conditions during the snorkelling season in Phi Phi, making it a great time to explore the vibrant coral reefs and colourful marine life.
