This small limestone island offers steep walls, sloping reefs, and hidden caverns teeming with colourful corals and sponges. Divers often encounter black-tip reef sharks, schools of snapper, clownfish, and occasionally turtles or leopard sharks. Suitable for all experience levels, Bida Nai is a favorite for its excellent visibility and the chance to explore both shallow reefs and deeper drop-offs in a single dive.
Koh Bida Nok is a stunning dive site featuring sheer limestone walls, vibrant coral gardens, and swim-throughs. It’s known for diverse marine life, including moray eels, lionfish, barracudas, and the occasional black-tip reef shark. With both shallow and deeper areas, it’s ideal for all diving levels and offers an exciting mix of reef and wall diving.
As the sun sets, nocturnal marine life emerges — you may encounter hunting cuttlefish, sleeping parrotfish in their mucus cocoons, bioluminescent plankton, and elusive creatures like nudibranchs, crabs, and octopuses. The sandy bottom and gentle conditions make it an ideal location for a calm, mesmerising night dive, especially for those new to diving after dark.
The Kled Keaw Wreck is a former Norwegian Royal Navy ship, sunk in 2014 to create an artificial reef.
It’s now a thriving underwater haven, attracting pelagic fish and sheltering smaller tropical species and macro life. Divers often spot sharks, turtles, and rays. The wreck is 47m long, 8m wide, and sits at a max depth of 26m, with the wheelhouse at 14m and two lower decks.
Hin Klai, also known as Garang Heng, is a versatile dive site located east of Phi Phi Ley and Phi Phi Don, suitable for divers of all experience levels. Its cylindrical pinnacle reaches within 6 meters of the surface, making it ideal for Open Water certified divers and above. This vibrant site boasts thousands of anemones, hard coral heads, giant barrel sponges, and huge gorgonian fans. Divers can frequently spot leopard sharks resting on the sandy bottom, along with schools of big-eye and two-spot snapper, fusiliers, moorish idols, boxfish, and pufferfish. With a keen eye, smaller creatures like ghost pipefish, nudibranchs, and various crabs can also be found amongst the corals and crevices.
Viking Bay hosts a dedicated coral nursery, enhancing both ecological value and underwater interest. Divers can encounter a rich variety of marine life such as snappers, pufferfish, lionfish, and scorpionfish, with occasional sightings of turtles and sea snakes, making it a compelling dive site
