Thailand Divers makes every effort to ensure the highest standards of diving etiquette and safety. However, clients are advised that diving takes place at their own risk and they must behave in a fit and proper manner at all times, in accordance with all recognised diving practices and procedures and take proper responsibility for their own safety. Clients are advised that certain diving sites are very remote, either by distance or time or both, from a recompression chamber.
Thailand Divers reserves the right to withdraw or cease diving any person whose actions or conduct is considered by Thailand Divers or its Instructors in its absolute discretion to be incompatible with the comfort and safety of the other clients, or to be offensive to them. In the event of such conduct, no liability whatsoever will be owed to that person by Thailand Divers upon withdrawal.
Diving activities carry inherent risks and each person wishing to participate in such activities will be asked by Thailand Divers to sign liability releases and provide a current medical if required.
For internet bookings of courses, daytrips and liveaboards on MV South Siam 3 and MV South Siam 4, a 10% deposit may be requested at the time of booking with the balance payable in full at least the day before the programme starts, unless agreed with Thailand Divers beforehand.
For all other internet bookings of liveaboard trips, a 30% deposit is required at the time of booking with the balance payable in full no less than 30 days before the departure date. If the departure date is within 30 days of booking then the full amount is required at the time of booking.
- Cancellation with refund is permited up to 6pm the day before the trip. Cancellation after this time or no-show on the day of the trip will result in the loss of full payment.
- Cancellation before any boat trips (ie. during classroom or swimming pool sessions) will be eligible for a 50% refund. Cancellation after this time follows the same rule for day trips. Any manuals that were included in the course price are yours to keep to allow you to try the course again at a later date.
- Cancellation of a liveaboard booking will follow the refund policy of the boat operator over which Thailand Divers has no control.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have adequate insurance cover. You are required to ensure that your policy has an endorsement for scuba diving if you are undertaking it as part of your tour.
Thailand Divers, in accordance with Thai law, has insurance of its own to cover any liability on its part. This does not imply any liability and should not be seen as a replacement for having your own travel insurance.
If you have cause for complaint during your trip, you must bring it to the attention of a member of Thailand Divers staff who will then do their best to rectify the situation. It is unreasonable to afford Thailand Divers, its Instructors or its representatives no opportunity to rectify any problem at the time and failure to do so on your part may affect your right to compensation. Should any problem remain unresolved, any complaint must be made to the Thailand Divers management team who will follow it up.
